Keep your dog busy whilst you're out...

NOOOOO, Not like this.

We have all been there, going to work and coming back to carnage within the household due to a very lonely little doggy; dogs minds need to be stimulated and as they are instictively pack members and you are there leader, without you they will not know what to do with themselves and become distressed.

Heres a few toys to help keep your dog occupied whilst you're out. 

The Original Kong:

From my own personal experience, these work like magic! The noisiest and most destructive dogs will settle with one of these and the best ingredient i found the put inside it for them was peanut butter, just a smidgen wiped around the inside and out will keep them licking for a while, and then they have the toy to chew on for boredem.

These can be found at most local pet stores or ordered easily online.

Tug-a-Jug:

These are in-genuis, you simply place dry dog treats in the opening at the bottom of the bottle and screw it back on, as the dog tugs at the rope attached to the top the treats will fall out, this could keep your dog entertained and excited for a while, and when they're bored they will have a full tummy and have a nice nap.

Again these can easily be found in pet stores or online.

Tricky Treat Ball:

Much like the Kong treats are hidden inside the ball, which can be put in through a simple hole at the top; and as the dog pushes and plays with the ball the treats fall out simultaneously, this will tire out and excite the dog, making them sleepy and have full bellys ready for nap time whilst you're out.

These are available easily online.

Rawhide:

Some people are against these chews due to choking hazards, however if used and exampled in front of the owner first and you know the dog is not silly with them, they can be very positive and great to use.

They will keep your dog chewing for hours and if not you can always tuck a little sauce that your dog likes in the cracks.

These are readily available at any pet store or super store.

Another little tip is too make sure your dog is exercised daily, if not this may stress them out even more and make sure they go for there wees and poos just before you go out to stop any messes or distress in the house.
