It's arrived and it's certainly getting colder, but don't let the cold effect you and your dogs mental and physical stimulation, there are plenty of activities you can do in your home to keep your dog as happy as every.
#1 Hide and seek
You go and hide in another room, such as under a bed, once there call your dog to come and retrieve you, hours of fun could be had doing this, always reward your dog once they have found you.
#Tip: This game could also be done with a treat or a favourite toy of theirs, dogs noses are incredible, by playing this game you'll find out just how nosey your dogs are.

#2 Excite and Freeze
Get your dog all excited by dancing around and playing with them, once they are all excited, freeze, your dog should react to your behaviour and react the same as yourself; if your dog does not copy your behaviour simply tell them a command they know, such as 'sit' until they do so and reward.
Repeat this, doing various actions and movements, a lot of fun can be had with this!
#Tip: Add fun music to dance around too.

#3 Stairway to Fun
Get your dog to sit at the bottom of a stairwell, whilst you hold a favourite toy of theirs; show them you have the toy whilst they remain sitting, Throw the toy to the top of the stairs and once its stationary, get the dog excited by saying 'Readdddyyyy.... GO!', your dog should race to the top of the stairs to retrieve the ball, once they have brought it back down get them to give it back and treat them, repeat.
#Tip: Starting from the bottom of the stairs is safer for your dog and their joints.

#4 Clean up Time
Scatter your dogs toys around a room with a basket or big bowel in the middle of the room, get your dog to retrieve a toy one by one, stand by the basket in the middle of the room and get them to bring it to you, once they have ask them to 'drop' the toy, once done so, reward your dog. Repeat this until you are able to not sit by the basket.
#Tip: Increase the difficulty by scattering the toys around different rooms.

#5 Pamper your Pup
There's not much more your dog will love than to have all the attention on them and being groomed, by a grooming brush, get a nice treat and lots of strokes and kisses to end a lovely playful day!
